Abishek Anilkumar: As a Solutions Architect at oraya, my role encompasses a range of crucial tasks pivotal to our projects' success. Firstly, I am tasked with managing the complexities of full-stack development, ensuring a cohesive integration of various technologies into our solutions. This requires a keen understanding of the systems involved and how they interact with one another.

Moreover, I hold the responsibility of aligning the data gathering and development processes with oraya's specific objectives and rigorous standards. This ensures that our solutions not only meet technical requirements but also align with our overarching goals as an organization.

Abishek Anilkumar: My academic journey has been a transformation from a theoretical and formal approach in India to a more hands-on, project-centric methodology in Germany. During my bachelor's degree in India, the emphasis was on understanding theoretical concepts deeply, fostering a structured and formal problem-solving approach. This foundation instilled discipline and a strong theoretical understanding.

Upon pursuing my master's degree in Germany, the focus shifted towards practical application and project-based learning. Engaging in various projects allowed me to visualize and implement ideas in a real-world context. It honed my ability to think creatively, adapt swiftly, and envision the bigger picture while solving problems.

This academic transition significantly influenced my role as a Solutions Architect at oraya. I now approach problem-solving with a blended perspective, integrating the theoretical understanding from my Indian education with the practical and project-oriented mindset acquired during my studies in Germany. It has made me versatile, enabling me to design solutions that are not only theoretically sound but also practical, efficient, and tailored to the unique needs of our clients at oraya.

Your role as a Solutions Architect at oraya requires finding innovative solutions for complex technical challenges. How do you draw upon your creative writing skills to infuse a sense of innovation and uniqueness into the solutions you design for your clients?

Abishek Anilkumar: In my role as a Solutions Architect at oraya, where tasks often involve highly technical elements and predetermined structures, I find a unique way to integrate creativity by drawing upon my skills in creative writing. While the technical aspect provides the framework and structure, it's crucial to approach each task with an innovative mindset.

Just like in creative writing where you start with a defined plot or theme, I begin with the task and its technical parameters. My creative writing background allows me to envision the solution as a narrative, with each component playing a role in the storyline. I try to think beyond the obvious, connecting the dots in a way that brings novelty and uniqueness to the solution.

Furthermore, creative writing has honed my ability to think from different perspectives and explore alternative approaches. This is immensely valuable when brainstorming for solutions. It's about infusing creativity within the defined boundaries to craft innovative and effective solutions, ensuring they not only meet technical requirements but also resonate with creativity and novelty.

We know you're an avid chess player. How has your strategic thinking in chess influenced your approach to designing and implementing complex IT solutions? Are there any specific parallels you've drawn between the two?

Abishek Anilkumar: My tasks as a solutions architect as well as playing a chess match both require a strategically thought approach. Much like in chess where different opponents require different strategies, various projects at oraya demand tailored approaches. In chess, you analyze the board and devise strategies based on the specific situation, evaluating potential moves and their outcomes. Similarly, in my role at oraya, I assess the requirements of a task, analyze the existing infrastructure, and determine the most logical and effective solution for that particular context. The ability to adapt strategies in chess has taught me the importance of flexibility and creativity when designing solutions for our clients.
